Off Day
SINGAPORE
Off Day Beer from Singapore invites artists to
design the label for their monthly CANVAS series,
a limited edition IPA from the brewery. Charmaine
Chen (aka Old World Charm) found inspiration for
this edition in the patterns produced by clouds,
which led to the idea of tessellating letters.
She used Ames’ Alphabets (1884) as reference
while drawing the piece at roughly A4 (Letter)
size. This was manipulated digitally to create the
tessellation, and then printed on the cans with
a matte finish and semi-reflective silver foil.
